Linda Kaufman's

One Woman Cabaret

"Count It All Joy!"

"Count It All Joy" is the long-awaited one-woman show by gifted song and script writer, Linda Kaufman, whose popular "Senior Moments: the Musical" has been seen around the country. Kaufman will be joined by Dr. Aaron Prado, a well-known jazz pianist, composer and arranger, in this humorous, retelling of Kaufman's 8 decades on Planet Earth interspersed with her songs, providing a lascinating look into Kaufman's personal and creative life.
We were lucky enough to be part of the audience at Linda Kaufman’s “Count it all Joy” one woman show. It was such a mixture of emotions & entertainment covered with a warm blanket of laughter and, yes, JOY! The stories and the songs brought us into her world and the full life she has lived which is all you need to enjoy this amazing production.

The irrepressible playwright and songwriter, Linda Kaufman, is at it again at age 86! Those who are familiar with her earlier works, especially the acclaimed Senior Moments will know to expect a healthy mix of pathos and humor. Call it All Joy, her new one-woman memoir delivers handkerchief moments and belly laughs as Linda herself shares her story of what is most of all A Life Well Lived.

Book, Music, and Lyrics by
Linda Kaufman

When Mrs. Rosenberg (Bubbe) takes a fall, it's Christmas in August! Raised by Orthodox Jewish parents and married to a Rabbi, Bubbe seems confused after her accident. When she moves into her daughter Eloise, son-in-law Arthur, and grandson Josh's home to recuperate, much more is "healed" than the bump on her head. The family and their Christian friend Linda explore the meaning and spirit of Christmas from a different viewpoint. Like a holiday gift, everything is wrapped and surrounded by the dynamics of faith, family and the love surrounding everyone involved.

This musical is a heartwarming story about identity and relationships. And it’s a Christmas story that takes place in August! It is a unique and delightful story line for a Christmas show. Plus the music is catchy and delightful. The cast and production requirements are perfect for a community theater.
CHRISTINE CROWLEY, Executive Director of Boerne Community Theater (January, 2024)
Mrs. Rosenberg's Christmas" is a well-crafted holiday show, with several zippy songs, that deals with inter-generational divides with great warmth and humor.

Linda Kaufman has clearly tapped into something special with "Senior Moments," a warm, witty musical inspired both by her own experiences with aging and by stories other older folks have shared that struck her as funny or meaningful. The show has played to sold-out audiences in San Antonio and elsewhere, and audience members spend intermission and the walk to the car talking about how they connected with the material. "Senior Moments" touches on things that everyone will have to deal with, one way or another, in a hopeful way that resonates with those who see it.
